How To Find A Cheap Ps3

Best PS3 Prices

Searching for a PS3 on sale can be a daunting task. I guess that enough people are still buying them that you don’t see them on sale often. It can be annoying if you only have a set amount of money to work with and it’s not quite enough to make the purchase.

I know how you feel! I’ve tried to justify the purchase in so many ways. I knew I could try to sell my old PS2 and even the games to raise money for a PS3 fund. I’ve thought about going through my closet and digging out my old jeans to see what they might fetch on eBay. I’ve even gone through my garage looking for tools that I don’t use to sell them online. We even put our stuff in a neighborhood sale to come up with the funds to buy a PS3. It netted me $52. By the way, garage sales will not get you the most money! You’ll make much more money selling your stuff on eBay.

You see, I’ve felt the same way before. There really is no comparison with other gaming consoles. A primary selling point for me is that it is Blu-Ray. Not only are all the games HD but now my movies are too. Try selling that angle to the wife! Honestly, once we got HD and my wife watched it a few times we really only watch HD shows or movies. I had won her over on every point exept the price.

I’ve done my homework in this area and I simply haven’t been able to find a better value for the money than the PS3. Even when it’s not on sale! You’ll spend $200-250 bucks on a basic Blu-Ray player anyway. Unfortunately for Microsoft, HD-DVD was not the chosen format going forward and this will ultimately hurt their sales. The real issue is getting a PS3, if at all possible, at a discount.

I searched on eBay and some other traditional auction sites and found that there really aren’t any ps3 sale prices out there. They show perceived value by including all these extras that you may or may not even care about. When I’m trying to spend as little money as possible this just doesn’t work for me.

In the end I had to get outside the box. Somebody told me about unique bid auction sites and I started researching them. You’ll find a few out there for sure but one stands above the rest, www.auctions4acause.com. They have much more selection among everyday items than most of the other sites including the PS3. Most other sites focus on really high-dollar items like cars, boats, houses and land. You can pretty it up all you want but I just want the PS3!

Once I found that site I knew I had what I was looking for. They had 2 items going for them in that they had the item I wanted at a potentially very inexpensive price. I quickly setup an account on the site. I placed 3 bids and hoped that they were unique and the lowest. Wouldn’t you know it, I didn’t win the first time. It was another couple of days before another one came up for auction. I placed a few more bids and slept well that night. Bingo! I won this time. 7 days later I was playing Hot Shots Golf on my new PS3. All told I had bid less than $59.64. Not too bad if I say so myself.

It can take a few minutes of reading to truly grasp the concept of the lowest unique bid auction style. But once you get it, it can be addicting. Since that time that I won the PS3 I’ve bid on and won 3 other items including an iPod Nano (they have the best ipod prices) and $400 gas card. I’ve won over $1,200 worth of stuff for about $350 in bid fees.

I wouldn’t suggest the big box stores to find the best prices. Go register at Auctions4aCause and get a great deal.
